BETTY JANE SPRATT
Betty Jane Spratt, 86, of Holland, died July 20, 2010, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. She was born on May 27, 1924, to Rudolph and Gladys (Schmakel) Kreft, in Toledo. She was a homemaker and worked part-time for Bargain City and Miller Fireworks. A cake decorator, she worked out of her home making cakes for special occasions for family and friends. She also enjoyed crafts and spending time with her family. Ms. Spratt is survived by her children, Eddie (Peggy) Spratt, Debbie (Doug) Bialecki, John (Desiree) Spratt and Melda “Sue” (Jerry) VonSeggern; son-inlaw, Al Gross; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and sisters, Marie Schlapman and Shirley (Dennis) Bast. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward; sons, James and Tom; daughter, Judy Gross, and brother, William Kreft. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 24, at the W.K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home, Airport Highway, with the Rev. Larry Carey officiating. Interment was in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
