Engagement Announcements Peter Skowronek and Katie Ganss engaged to wed
Katie Lynn Ganss, daughter of Steven and Patricia Ganss, of Perrysburg, and Peter Edward Skowronek, son of Ruth Williams and Mark Skowronek, of Toledo, announce their engagement.
Katie is a 2002 graduate of Perrysburg High School and a 2006 graduate of Bowling Green State University, where she received a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education.
She is a first grade teacher at Woodland Elementary School in Perrysburg.
Peter is a 2003 graduate of Evergreen High School and a 2010 graduate of Lourdes College, where he received a bachelor of science degree in sales and marketing. He is employed as a landscape designer.
A September 11, 2010, wedding at Blessed John XXIII in Perrysburg, is planned. back to top
Seth Yanik and Sherry Sharrard
engaged to wed
Dr. and Mrs. Michael A. Yanik announce the engagement of their son, Seth M. Yanik to Sherry J. Sharrard, daughter of Mary Jo Sheldon of Bay City, Michigan, and the late DeWayne Sharrard, and stepdaughter of the late Charles Sheldon. Seth is a graduate of Miami of Ohio working for Fidelity Investments. Sherry is a graduate of Michigan State University and is employed by GE Capital. The couple met in Chicago and currently reside there. A September 4, 2010, wedding in Bay City, Michigan, is planned. back to top
Birth Announcements Raegan Badik
Justin and Kristie Badik of Fremont, Ohio, announce the birth of their daughter, Raegan Diane. She was born July 16, 2010, at 6:03 p.m., at Fremont Memorial Hospital. She weighed eight pounds, six ounces, and was 20 inches long at birth.
Grandparents are Chuck and Diane Armstrong, and Richard and Dianna Badik, all of Perrysburg.
Greatgrandparents are Andrew and Emily Badik of Perrysburg.
Marriage Announcements Frederick Brown and Melissa Latchem united in marriage
Melissa Elizabeth Latchem and Frederick Walbridge Brown were united in marriage on September 12, 2009, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Toledo. The ceremony was performed by Hope Welles Jernagan.
The bride is the daughter of Sandy Latchem of Perrysburg, and Tom Latchem of Columbus, Ohio.
The bridegroom is the son of Paula and Peter Brown of Perrysburg.
Maid of Honor was Kelli Latchem of Columbus. Bridesmaids were Lindsay McKeever of New York, New York, Hannah Osier of San Francisco, California, Lindsay Paul of Brooklyn, New York, Deirdre Fenton of Hoboken, New Jersey, and Kate Brown of San Mateo, California. Best Man was Zach Barden of Toledo. Groomsmen were Casey Latchem of Columbus, Javier Flores and Chuck Lynch, both of Boston, Massachusetts, Ben Elesh and Will Dych, both of Brooklyn, and Peter Kirchmaier of Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan.
A reception was held at the Carranor Hunt and Polo Club in Perrysburg.
The couple took a honeymoon trip to Maui, Hawaii.
Melissa and Fred met at Woodland Elementary School, and began dating in 2003.
Melissa is a 2000 graduate of Perrysburg High School, and a 2004 graduate of Denison University. She is employed by Deutsche Bank in New York City. She plans to attend the University of Notre Dame to pursue a master of business administration degree.
The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School and a 2003 graduate of Kenyon College.
He works for Chubb & Son Insurance in New York City. They reside in Greenwich, Connecticut. back to top
