TANYA BANACHOWSKI

Tanya E. Banachowski, 74, of Rossford, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. She was born, in Toledo, on February 13, 1936, to Rudolf and Elizabeth (Karius) Maier. She was a homemaker, and a graduate of St Ursula Academy and Mary Manse College. She enjoyed singing, traveling, and bowling, and went to many tournaments with her teammates. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Andrew Banachowski; children, Marc (Elaine) Banachowski, Ann (Bill) Mishka, John Banachowski, Lynn (Terry) Dawley and Keith (Jessica) Banachowski; grandchildren, Adam Banachowski, Tim Mishka, Zach Banachowski, Jasmin Banachowski, Amy Banachowski, Anna Dawley, and Lydia Banachowski; brother, Rudi (Jenny) Maier, and sisters, Rita (Gene) Sartor and Trudy (Ralph) Morone. A Mass of the Resurrection was held Saturday, July 24, at All Saints Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kent Kaufman officiating. Entombment was in Resurrection Cemetery. Arrangements were made by the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.




ANTHONY KOBYLAK

Anthony “Tony” Marion Kobylak, 73, of Rossford, died Monday, July 26, 2010, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. He was born on December 3, 1936, in Poland, to Wojciech and Anna (Gwozda) Kobylak, and was the youngest of five. On February 10, 1940, the family was deported to labor camps in Siberia, where within the next two years the oldest brother and two sisters died. Mr. Kobylak’s father then went to serve in the Polish Army during the Italian Campaign. His mother, he and his brother went through Iran to the refuge camp Bwana M’Kubwa in Zambia for the duration of the war. The family was reunited in the United States in 1949, and settled in Rossford. Mr. Kobylak learned English at St. Mary Magdalene grade school and graduated from Rossford High School in 1955. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1961 and received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Toledo in 1967. He worked for Owens Illinois and later, AID, also known as Medar-Integral Vision. He occasionally helped at Sem-Com Co. He enjoyed being outdoors, working in the yard, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Kobylak is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sonia (Jakubowski) Kobylak; daughter, Andrea (Jack) Durham; grandchildren, Emily, Abby and Benny Stone; brother, Stanley (Angela) Kobylak; nephews, Gene (Dottie) Kobylak and John (Debbie) Kobylak; nieces, Theresa Whitmore, Anna Gwozdz and Christine (Tim) Singler; many great-nephews and great-nieces, and many cousins in the United States and Poland. A scripture Service was held Wednesday, July 28, at the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford. Funeral services will be held today, July 29, at 9:30 a.m., at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at All Saints Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kent Kaufman officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the All Saints Building Fund.


MARGARET LIMPF
Margaret Francis “Marge” Limpf, 66, of Perrysburg and formerly of Rossford, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born on December 12, 1943, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was a financial specialist for Mercy Health Partners for many years. She was a member of the Rossford United Methodist Church and Women of Faith. Mrs. Limpf is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ken Limpf; daughters, Michelle (Ken) Sutter and Jennifer (Scott) Sudlow; son, Ron (Lorinda) Limpf; mother, Dolores Schutt; grandchildren, Zachery and Matthew Sutter, Paul, Kyle and Jonathan Limpf, Xavier, Keden and Jenalynne Sudlow; sister, Linda Karsten; niece, Jackie Karsten; nephew, Kris Karsten, and brother in-law, Larry (special friend, Kathy) Limpf. A memorial service was held Monday, July 26, at the Rossford United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Robert Ball and Randy Williams officiating. Interment was private. Arrangements were made by the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.




STELLA TEET

Stella A. Teet, 96, of Rossford, died Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born on April 1, 1914, to Charles and Karolina (Tomeckova) Tomecek in Okolona, Ohio. She was a member of the Millbury Czech Club and the Rossford Eagles Auxiliary. She enjoyed dancing, polka music and spending time with family. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Jerry) Hall; daughter-in-law, Gloria Parker; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Teet, in 1973; son, Bob Teet; special friend, Jerry Smith; three sisters and one brother. A memorial service was held Wednesday, July 14, in the Sujkowski Funeral Home of Rossford, with the Rev. Joseph Steinbauer officiating. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery in Maumee.
