Gardner named Ohio chancellor
Randy Gardner began his career in the Ohio Statehouse due to an appointment to the governor’s Cabinet.
And now his legislative career is ending due to his own appointment to the Cabinet.
Newly elected Governor Mike DeWine has selected Mr. Gardner to serve as chancellor for higher education in Ohio.
“In November 1985, Governor Celeste chose Representative Robert Brown of Perrysburg to be the director of mental retardation and developmental disabilities for his Cabinet,” Mr. Gardner recalled.
