Metroparks institutes raffle for treehouse village rentals
Residents interested in spending a night or two at one of the treehouses in the Oak Openings Beach Ridge area will find themselves subject to the luck of the draw.
At the January 22 meeting, Metroparks Toledo commissioners learned that even though the Cannaley Treehouse Village won’t open to the public until this spring, excitement over the prospect of staying there has led to development of a raffle system.
“We created a raffle system for overnight stays that people can register for beginning in February,” said Matt Killam, chief of community outreach, noting the raffle system will likely continue for the first year or two.
