Solar field proposed to power electric use in two counties
If Palmer Energy has its way, area residents may find that 15 to 20 percent of their electrical usage is provided by a local solar field in the near future.
The energy consultant serves the Northwest Ohio Aggregation Coalition and manages the purchase of electricity on behalf of residents in about 15 communities in Wood and Lucas counties, including Holland.
Palmer is in the process of reviewing 14 bids from electric companies and sees an opportunity in the market for the coalition to build its own solar field.
