Springfield BOE approves pay raises for treasurer, supt.

The Springfield Schools superintendent and treasurer will join other administrators who were awarded salary increases several months ago.

At the November 14 meeting, the Springfield board of education approved a 2.5 percent increase retroactive to August 1 for Superintendent Matt Geha and Treasurer Ryan Lockwood.

The increases will bring their salaries to $133,948 and $124,475, respectively. Mr. Lockwod last received a salary adjustment in August 2016. This is Mr. Geha’s first pay increase since becoming superintendent on August 1, 2017.

“The board of education made a decision to give a cost of living increase to the superintendent and the treasurer. This was the same increase that was given to the teachers and non-teaching employees previously per their contract. Our superintendent and treasurer did not receive this increase last year,” said board president Sherri Koback.

The board also took action on a number of personnel matters. They are:
