The Ability Center will host the 37th Auxiliary to the Ability Center style show at 10 a.m., Wednesday, October 5, at the Pinnacle, 1772 Indian Wood Circle, Maumee.
According to event cochairs Arlene Whelan and Gwen Ames both of Holland, the show will feature fashions from local designers and boutique vendors, raffle baskets, a silent auction and luncheon.
“Proceeds will help benefit children and adults with disabilities to live independent lives,” said Ms. Whelan, adding, “Together, we will work to make our community the most disability friendly in the nation by increasing independence for people with disabilities, discovering true passions and changing the community’s perception of disability.”
“It seems like yesterday everyone was just starting to plan and decide on a theme for this year’s style show. The entire committee has worked tirelessly to make this day a successful event. It is our pleasure to support the Ability Center and donate all money raised back to them to support their programs,” Ms. Ames said.
The show will be hosted by Sashem Brey and participants will see designs from Ragazza, J Jill, Chicos, Sophia Lustig, Vivian Kate, Hip to the Groove Boutique, Zina’s Boutique and Alterations.
