Ever consider being an assistance dog volunteer?
The Ability Center, 5605 Monroe Street, Sylvania will host an open house from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 15.
Visitors will get a glimpse into the training program, be able to ask staff questions and discover how to make a difference for someone in need of a service or therapy dog.
Service dogs help individuals with disabilities lead more independent lives.
Volunteers will teach basic obedience, manners and foundational skills to assistance dogs in training.
