Listen to the smooth sounds of Gene Parker’s jazz music and enjoy a home-style dinner at All That Jazz at the Maumee Senior Center, 2430 South Detroit Avenue, on Friday, October 17. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:15 p.m.
“This fundraising event has become an annual tradition for the Maumee Senior Center. Every year people have a great time listening to the very talented Gene Parker and his crew,” said Malinda Ruble, executive director of the Maumee Senior Center.
Gene Parker, who has been performing in Northwest Ohio for more than five decades, will join fellow musicians to present a concert of jazz standards from the past 60 years. Parker, a well-known educator, is a multi-instrumentalist.
The menu for the evening includes Salisbury steak with onion gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans with almonds, a dinner roll and dessert. Beverages, including Irish Coffee, will be available for a donation.
“This is a great chance to enjoy wonderful food, have a fun night out of the house and help the Maumee Senior Center raise funds at the same time,” said Ruble.
Tickets to attend this event are $35 per person. The event is open to the community, but seating is limited. To purchase tickets, stop by the Maumee Senior Center or contact 419-893-1994 or maumee seniorcenter@gmail.com for more information. Accepted payment methods include cash, check or Venmo.
