Area youth lay planks for W.W. Knight boardwalk

More than 40 youths and their leaders from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints recently spent a day at W.W. Knight Nature Preserve in Perrysburg Township. The group laid down planking for 480 feet of boardwalk and screwed it into place. They also trimmed back the overgrowth and picked up trash at the preserve. Park district staff expressed their appreciation to the group, noting that all of the side projects that they were going to do if they had time, were completed by the youth.
