The Canal Experience at Providence Metropark opened for the season May 2.
Hours are Tuesday through Friday with departures aboard the Volunteer canal boat at 10 and 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m.
Saturdays, the boat departs at 12:30, 2 and 3:30 p.m. Mothers ride free on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12.
Free tours of the Isaac Ludwig Mill are available Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Providence Metropark is at 13200 South River Road, Grand Rapids.
