Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School and Academy announces the opening of the “Cardinal Shop,” sponsored by Ed Nagle and Nagle Companies, on October 21, 2025, at the school. Nagle and employees of Nagle Companies, Inc. joined students and staff to formally open the Cardinal Shop. The spirit shop will feature “Blessing Bags” filled with various nutritious foods and snacks for students to take home during long weekends, helping to bridge food and snack gaps.
Admissions Manager Sue Laytart and Financial Bookkeeper Stephanie Schnabel are leading this project. “We want our students to always have access to nutritious foods or snacks on days when there is no school,” explained Laytart. “During long weekends, including Christmas and spring breaks, some students lack access to healthy meals or snacks.
According to Schnabel, “We partnered with Empuzzlement to purchase snacks and drinks to include in blessing bags for students to take home during long weekends or breaks. We hope to add more refrigerated items like dairy products, meat snacks, fresh fruits and vegetables to the bags.”
When Nagle, a passionate supporter and a member of the Cardinal Stritch board of directors, was approached to fund the startup costs of the market, he not only happily agreed, but also increased the donation to ensure the project’s successful launch and ongoing support.
“Stephanie and I are deeply grateful to Mr. Nagle and the Nagle Company team for their generous financial support and for their commitment to our mission of making Cardinal Stritch a community of disciples of Jesus Christ—empowering and educating children in a supportive, family-oriented environment,” said Laytart.
A portion of the shop’s sales will be from school supplies and spirit wear, with profits helping to fund future blessing bags and the Market.
