Christ Child Society hosts annual luncheon

The Christ Child Society of Toledo recently held its annual Mass at St. Joan of Arc. Dottie Pienta led the group in song during the mass.

The celebration remembers Christ Child members, families and friends recognized in memorials and tributes.

Following Mass, the society held an installation luncheon at Stone Oak Country Club in Springfield Township. During the luncheon, 33 members were presented with awards in recognition of their years with Christ Child Society.

Recognized for 30 years of service were Fran Anderson, Mary Lou Bollin, Sue Savage and Linda Pawlicki.

In addition, officers for the coming year were installed. Serving as president will be Pat Galvin.

Receiving the Barbara Sommer Memorial Award was Ann Eberly, chosen for the significant contributions she made as a new member.

This year’s spiritualty committee, which planned the liturgy and luncheon, was comprised of Donna Amos, Kim Benner, JoAnn DeMars, Mary Galvin, Pat Galvin, Linda Justen, Mary Keener, Jan Purinton, Laura Rudolph, Ev Schroder, Corinne Welch and Kathy Wetli.
