Crissey Elementary

SCHOOL NEWS

We’re all aware that the core subjects (math, reading, science and language arts) are very important for your child’s education. While we focus on these subjects, let’s not forget about the value of fine arts education (art and music), physical education and STEAM classes. Each week, Crissey students enjoy expressing themselves with Ms. Middleton, Ms. Andrews, Mr. Elliott and Ms. Bell. Students participate in music and physical education classes twice a week with Ms. Middleton and Mr. Elliott. Once a week, the students have the opportunity to create their own masterpiece, and learn about different art techniques in art class with Ms. Andrews and use their critical thinking skills in STEAM with Ms. Bell.

On Thursday, April 20, we will have our annual Spring Arts Festival. Students in grades kindergarten and first will show their vocals as they put on display. Creative art work from all grades will be displayed in the hallways. Mr. Elliott and Ms. Bell are planning wonderful activities for the event, too. Please join us on April 20.

Special thanks to Ms. Middleton, Mr. Elliott, Ms. Bell and Ms. Andrews for organizing this great event.
