Crissey Elementary

SCHOOL NEWS

This year, we welcome many new staff members to our team. We are fortunate to have such an amazing group of teachers and support staff this year. They look forward to meeting and working with all the wonderful students and families at Crissey Elementary. Today, we will highlight our social emotional coach, Ms. Carrie Pratt.

A social emotional learning coach is a person who ensures student’s social and/or emotional needs are met through classroom lessons, interventions and reinforcement of the schoolwide positive behavior intervention and supports (PBIS) program. Ms. Pratt collaborates with administration, school counselor and teachers in making data driven decisions that reflect student success in the classroom in regards to their social and/or emotional behavior. Additionally, she maintains records of student attendance to ensure all students are receiving access to their education. Lastly, and most importantly, Ms. Pratt creates a positive climate of openness, respect, and care for all students’ perspectives, experiences and culture.
