Crissey Elementary students and staff came together to celebrate Principal Oatis Amick with a special birthday surprise. During a routine fire drill, students gathered outside and, instead of returning to class, broke into a heartfelt rendition of “Happy Birthday”— a moment beautifully organized by choir teacher Mrs. Middleton.
The celebration didn’t stop there. Earlier in the morning, staff surprised Amick before the school day even began, making sure he felt the love and appreciation from the entire Crissey community.
A big shoutout to all the teachers and administrators who helped plan this thoughtful celebration, and a special thank you to Erin Brock for her support. Wishing Mr. Amick a very happy birthday.
