DeWine appoints Toledo residents to UT trustees, state disabilities board

Governor Mike DeWine made a number of new appointments to various state boards and university boards of trustees on August 2.

Adam Levine of Toledo was appointed to the University of Toledo board of trustees for a nine-year term, ending in 2033.

Cassandra Wilson of Toledo was appointed to the Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council for a two-year term, running through the end of 2026.

Levine is the current director of the Toledo Museum of Art and a scholar of ancient art, serving in the role since 2020. He has worked at the museum since 2012. Levine graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth College before earning a master’s degree as a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford, as well as a doctor of philosophy (D.Phil) in art history, more commonly known as a Ph.D. He is widely published in the art world and an influential voice on topics ranging from ancient art to museum management practices.

Wilson is the president of SALUTE, a self-advocacy group for people with developmental disabilities in Lucas County. The organization’s goal is to help disabled people advocate for themselves in their daily lives, increase their leadership roles and impact in the community, and make connections with other community leaders and members. SALUTE is a program within the Lucas County Board of Disabilities.
