The Springfield Area Prevention Coalition (SAPC), in collaboration with Share the Shine and the Village of Holland, is hosting a Drug Take Back Day family-friendly event on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Holland Village offices, 1245 Clarion Avenue.
This free community event provides a safe and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications while fostering open conversations about medication safety and substance abuse prevention.
“Even if you don’t have prescription medications to dispose of, we encourage everyone to join us for this important community initiative,” said Andrea Smith. “It’s an opportunity to raise awareness, reduce stigma and promote a safer, healthier community.”
Event highlights include:
•Drug Take Back Collection– safely dispose of unused prescription medications •Village of Holland Police– learn more about local safety efforts
•Springfield Township fire truck–interactive experience for families
•Bounce House–fun for kids
•Face painting and balloon animals–provided by SAPC Youth
•Crafts with Holland Branch Library–creative activities for children
•Dog Waggin’ Food Truck–delicious food available for purchase
