Elementary schools reconfigured this year

Springfield Schools reminds parents that the elementary schools have been reconfigured this year. Crissey, Dorr and Holloway will now educate students in pre-K through third grade.

The district’s early childhood center has been expanded. Preschool services were previously offered only at Dorr Elementary. This year, preschool classrooms will be located in each of the three elementary schools.

Holland Intermediate will educate students in grades 4 and 5. It is expected that this will allow for an easier transition to middle school.

Students in kindergarten through grade 3 attending Crissey, Dorr and Holloway elementary schools will attend school from 9 a.m. to Students in grades 4 to 8 attending Holland Intermediate and Springfield Middle School will attend from 7:30 to 2:30 p.m. The school day for Springfield High School students in grades 9 to 12 will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The schedule for preschool classes will be announced soon. For more information, visit springfield-schools.org and click on “grades prek-5 building reconfiguration update.”
