Sunday, July 10, at 10 a.m., Garden Park Christian Church and First Baptist Church of Greater Toledo will hold a joint worship service. This will be followed by a cookout/picnic, to celebrate one year of sharing one building and working together. The churches are at 6520 Pilliod Road, Holland.
In 2020, Garden Park found it necessary to sell their previous building and spent over a year searching for a suitable place to meet. All the while, First Baptist Church of Greater Toledo was searching for another congregation with which to share their facility. Through some unique connections, they heard of Garden Park’s need and contacted the leaders. Several weeks of meetings ensued and on July 11, 2021, Garden Park held their first worship service at the First Baptist building.
