No fooling, by the time you read this message April will have arrived and we will have flipped another calendar page, leaving just two months remaining in the 2021-22 school year. There are so many exciting things ahead as Holland becomes a school dedicated to educating all of the district’s fourth and fifth grade students. There is so much to get ready for–and I promise you that we will be ready.
I know there are some still unaware of the details about the upcoming reconfiguration of our building and the district’s other three elementary schools.
To assist with questions, a designated information page on the district’s website includes an interactive map to assist in determining which prekindergarten through third grade school any child might attend, as well as floor plans and details about the process (first announced last summer).
Anyone wishing to discuss questions is encouraged to contact me or send an email to: reconfiguration_ crissey@springfieldschools.org, reconfiguration
_dorr@springfieldschools.org, reconfiguration
_holland@springfieldschools.org or reconfigura tion_holloway@springfieldschools.org.
Volunteers
Holland is now allowing volunteers back in the building to help where needed. Any volunteers working with groups of students will need to have a background check completed at the central office.
Anyone coming in to do a one-time event (such as reading a story to a class) does not have to complete a background check.
Holland Carnival Returns
Mark your calendar for Friday, May 20, for the return of the Holland carnival. Many more details will come, but the event will be from 5 to 8 p.m., in the loop between Holland and the middle school. There will be games, food trucks, raffles, face painting, magicians and a dunk tank. Plenty more details to come, so stay tuned.
5th Grade Middle School Parent Night
Fifth grade parents will be able to tour the middle school on Tuesday, April 26, from 6 to 7 p.m. More specific details will be coming soon.
