Holland Intermediate Celebrates Red Ribbon Week with “Life is a Movie: Film Drug-Free” Theme This October, Holland Intermediate participated in Red Ribbon Week from October 21, promoting a drugfree lifestyle through the creative theme, “Life is a Movie! Film Drug-Free.” Throughout the week, students and staff dressed up each day, transforming the school into a celebration of healthy choices and selfempowerment. The themed attire inspired daily conversations on the importance of staying drug-free and living a healthy lifestyle.
In addition to the themed dress-up days, students competed in a poster design contest, showcasing their artistic talent and commitment to the week’s message. The colorful and creative posters, now displayed throughout the school, serve as lasting reminders of the students’ enthusiasm for this important cause.
Red Ribbon Week culminated on Monday, October 28, with Holland Parent Council’s annual Trunk or Treat event. Hundreds of students and families attended, enjoying a memorable evening filled with costumes, treats, and fun. With perfect weather, it was a wonderful night for the Holland community to come together in support of a positive and impactful message.
Principal Evans shared, “It’s inspiring to see our students and staff embrace Red Ribbon Week with so much energy and creativity. Events like these strengthen our community and remind us all of the importance of making healthy, positive choices.”
