Holland Intermediate would like to congratulate Malachi Reyes and Lennon Robinson for being selected to perform with the Ohio Music Educator Association (OMEA) All State Children’s Choir. Last spring, as fourth graders, interested Holland Intermediate music students went through a rigorous audition process for a chance to earn a position in the All State Choir. Out of more than 300 applicants, two finalists were selected from Springfield Local Schools. We are so proud of the leadership and school spirit these two have demonstrated to achieve this position and represent Holland Intermediate. This elite experience combines the best of the best vocal musicians around the state of Ohio in fourth and fifth grade for a once-in-a-lifetime main stage performance on January 29 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Good luck Malachi and Lennon, and Go Blue Devils.
The Holland Intermediate running club is in its second year, and there are 63 students signed up. These students meet after school on Tuesday and Thursday to enjoy fun running activities with volunteer coaches. Every member of the club has the opportunity to compete in the Springfield Cross Country Elementary Series with Dave’s Running Shop. Holland Intermediate has 30 runners signed up to participate Tuesday, September 16, at Homecoming Park.
