Holloway Elementary school supply lists

Following is a list of school supplies to be purchased prior to the first day of school. Please send these items with your child on the first day of school. Wheeled backpacks are not permitted. They do not fit in lockers.

Kindergarten

Backpack, no wheels; one old oversized shirt to wear for art; one pack of baby wipes; one pair of earbuds in a Ziploc plastic bag; one extra set of clothes labeled and bagged; one pair of headphones in a bag labeled with name. Last names A-E: box of tissues. Last Names F-M: pack of baby wipes. Last names Q-Z: box of gallon-size bags. Girls: one box of gallon-size bags.

Boys: one box of sandwichsize bags.

First Grade

One Pink Pearl eraser; three boxes of 24 Crayola crayons; one pack of 8 classic Crayola markers; two yellow highlighters; 16 glue sticks; one clean sock for cleaning dry erase boards; one sturdy plastic school box (no larger than 10”x8”); two 2-pocket plastic folders (green only); one pair of student headphones (no earbuds); two packages of sharpened No. 2 pencils; four low odor dry erase markers; two boxes of tissues; one pair of blunt end scissors; two wide-ruled spiral notebooks; one package of baby wipes. Last name A-L: one box of gallon-size Ziploc bags. Last name M-Z: one box of sandwich-size Ziploc bags.

Second Grade

One pair of blunt end scissors; two large erasers; two packs of sharpened No. 2 pencils (supply as needed); three boxes of 24 crayons; two yellow highlighters; one large zippered pencil pouch; one wide-ruled Composition notebook; 8 large or 16 small glue sticks; two plastic folders (1 red, 1 blue); two large boxes of tissues; one box of gallonsize Ziploc bags; four black dry erase markers; one large zippered pencil pouch; 8 large or 16 small glue sticks. Borth, Thomas and Hasemeyer:

two boxes of broad line colored markers. Mrs. Thornton’s class: one package of colored pencils.

Third Grade

One pair of earbuds or headphones; one box of 12 colored pencils; two packs of sharpened No. 2 pencils (Ticonderoga preferred); one box of 24 crayons; one box of colored markers; two low odor dry erase markers; one yellow highlighter; six glue sticks; two large erasers (supply as needed); one clean old sock for dry erase board; three 1-subject, wide-rule spiral notebooks; three boxes of tissues; four pocket folders (1 red, 1 green, 1 blue, 1 yellow); one pair of Fiskar scissors; one large zippered pencil pouch. Girls: one box of gallon-size Ziploc bags. Boys: one box of sandwich-size Ziploc bags.

Mrs. Thomas Mrs. Tabler’s Room

Six glue sticks; three boxes of tissues; two boxes of 24 crayons; six dry erase markers; one box of 8 or 10 thick washable Crayola markers; one box colored pencils; four folders (2 green, 2 red); one large supply box; one box of gallon-size and one box of sandwich-size Ziploc bags; one roll of paper towels; one package of uncoated paper plates.

Art

One old shirt to cover school clothes to wear during art class. Label inside with student’s name.

Physical Education

Students need to wear tennis, running or basketball style shoes for gym class. No sandals, slip-on tennis shoes, dress shoes, winter boots or hiking shoes are allowed for gym class.
