Hospice of Northwest Ohio will host a lecture at 8 a.m., Thursday, August 8, at the McMaster Center, Toledo Lucas County Main Library.

Registration is now open for the third event of the 2024 Dr. Sharon Erel lecture series featuring Ammar Kayyali, MD, specialist in geriatric medicine and associate professor in the department of medicine at the University of Toledo Medical Center.

At the completion of this program, attendees will be able to identify ways to assess and treat processes that happen as people age and solutions in how to prepare for them. There will be discussion related to the barriers to care that many individuals may have to navigate.

Participants will learn ways to cope with, care for and plan for an individual with cognitive impairment.
