The Toledo Lucas County Homelessness Board (TLCHB) has appointed Julie Embree as its interim executive director, effective June 17. She brings more than 25 years of experience in social services administration, networking, project and grants management and housing and homelessness services within the Toledo continuum of care. In her most recent role at TLCHB, Embree successfully led and managed a team while providing support to the executive director in planning activities. She also served as a Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) administrator, offering support and training for community providers and end users, ensuring data integrity and compliance with local, state, and HUD reporting requirements. Embree’s background includes work in case management, housing and leadership roles at David’s House Compassion and Equitas Health and other professional roles. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated leadership and a deep commitment to addressing homelessness and improving housing services.
“I am honored to step into the role of interim executive director,” said Embree. “I look forward to continuing our work in creating effective solutions for homelessness in Toledo and Lucas County and to collaborate with our community partners to enhance the support services we provide.”
Embree’s appointment helps ensure continuity and strong leadership for TLCHB as the organization continues its mission to end homelessness in the community.
