The annual Sunset Jazz and Art Festival, sponsored by the Grand Rapids Arts Council, is planned for Sunday, August 13, from 2 p.m. until sunset. It will be held along the towpath of the Maumee River in Grand Rapids.
The event features jazz performances, a juried art show and sale, food and beverages.
Rain date is the next Sunday, August 20.
Visual artists who would like to participate can submit three photos displaying close-ups of their work by July 10. Work must be original and hand-produced by the entrant.
Artists will be selected by a panel of judges consisting of art educators and members of the Grand Rapids community.
Due to space restrictions, there will be a limited number of participants.
Each artist will be provided a 10’x10’ space, and must furnish their own tables, chairs, display materials and tents.
