The Fair Housing Center will launch its inaugural “Run Discrimination Out of Town” virtual walkathon/runathon aimed at creating inclusive communities that enhance opportunities for all. Individuals and teams are invited to join this event and work together to eliminate discrimination and promote social justice.
From August 26 to September 30, participants can register as individuals or as a team with friends. Members will have the chance to set mileage goals and make a difference in the lives of others.
The Fair Housing Center will also host three in-person events at Metroparks Toledo locations as follow:
•August 26, 10 a.m. to noon at Wildwood, whitetail shelter
•August 26, 1 to 4 p.m. at Oak Openings, Mallard Lake shelter
•September 30, 1 to 4 p.m. at Pearson playground shelter.
Housing plays a fundamental role in the overall success of life. By supporting fair housing, communities can stabilize neighborhoods, foster diversity and improve life outcomes for individuals and families. Every dollar raised through the event will contribute to furthering the mission of the Fair Housing Center, ensuring that everyone has access to equal housing opportunities.
