The Lucas County Children Services will hold a Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 19, from noon to 2 p.m. The event will be at the Believe Center, 1 Aurora Gonzalez Drive, near South Avenue and Anthony Wayne Trail.
This will be a safe, daytime trick-or-treat opportunity for LCCS children and families in the community.
More than 85 trunks will line the grounds, along with a fire engine, SWAT vehicle, Halloween-themed maker space and other surprises.
About 3,000 children in costume are expected. An estimated 300,000 pieces of candy will be handed out, along with toothbrushes, hats, gloves, socks and other giveaways. This is an entirely donation- driven, volunteer effort.
Pizza will be available for purchase at $1 per slice or $5 per pizza.
Also participating will be Friends of LCCS and 50-plus community partners.
