The League of Women Voters (LWV) of Toledo-Lucas County invites the public to attend its upcoming general meeting and program, Monday, October 17, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Sylvania Public Library, 6749 Monroe Street.
The topic is “Understanding Working the Polls and Voters’ Rights.”
The speaker will be Kurt Young, Toledo area lawyer with Kurt M. Young, LLC, and current board of elections board member.
Mr. Young will discuss what to expect when working the polls and various roles in operation on any election day.
The LWV is a political nonpartisan organization and does not support or oppose any political candidate or party.
The organization has been in existence for more than 100 years.
