Area Scouts are popping up all over town to take orders for tins of tasty snacks. Scouts are going door to door and setting up tables at local retail stores to offer classic popcorn flavors like caramel and cheddar cheese, along with specialty flavors such as:
•Sea Salt Splash: caramel popcorn dunked in dark fudge and sprinkled with sea salt
•Trail Mix: a blend of peanuts, raisins, chocolate candies, sunflower seeds and almonds
•New—Mountain Munch: caramel corn mixed with pecans, cashews and almonds, drizzled in chocolate and packaged in a special armed forces tin.
If you are in the market for a tin featuring your favorite Ohio team, you can choose from:
•Caramel with sea salt popcorn (Ohio State University tin)
•Milk chocolate covered pretzels (Browns tin)
•White chocolate covered pretzels (Guardians tin) Holiday gift bundles also are available, which are ideal for business customers.
In addition to teaching Scouts valuable business and money management skills, the fundraiser supports units throughout the greater Toledo area by covering the cost of uniforms, experiences at Camp Miakonda and Pioneer Scout Reservation, equipment, service projects and more.
