MacQueen Orchard’s Farm Market will host its annual apple butter festival Saturday and Sunday, October 5 and 6, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
While cooking in a giant copper kettle over an open fire, fresh, warm apple butter will be available to purchase and sample.
There will be a variety of food available including selections from Deet’s BBQ, sandwiches, fries, hot dogs, Gyros, dessert items and more.
The bakery will sell warm home baked pies and specialty breads, donuts, sweet rolls, cookies and apple fritters. The Market Cafe also will be open.
Martha’s Gift and Boutique Shop will offer fall items, handbags, jewelry, baby items, candles, dishes, scarves and more.
The Country Gift Barn, a year-round Christmas shop, will be open with holiday items for trees, walls and more.
Visitors can pick their own apples and pumpkins for a nominal fee.
Free entertainment will be provided each day.
On Saturday, the Chris Brown Band will play from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by the Whitehead/Mac Band from 2 to 6 p.m.
On Sunday, Word of Mouth DJ with Benny Roschmann will play from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by Johnny Rodriguez from 2 to 6 p.m.
There will be rides for children, a corn maze, pony and barrel train rides, petting zoo, face painting and sand art.
