Maumee Valley Habit for Humanity invites the community to celebrate Earth Day with spring cleaning and recycling. Their annual Earth Day event, ReStore the Earth, returns on Saturday, April 12, now at a new and bigger location. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Calvary Church, 1360 Conant Street, Maumee.
Community members are encouraged to bring the following accepted recyclable items to divert reusable items from landfills:
•Free Recycling: electronic recycling (including CRT or tube televisions and LCD/flat-screen televisions), paper shredding, cardboard recycling, styrofoam recycling (#6 label only), tire recycling (up to four tires), scheduled on-site above pool recycling, desks and desk chairs—additional furniture drop-off available at MVHFH ReStore, 1310 Conant Street.
•Fee Recycling: latex paint recycling (two dollars per gallon).
