With the goal of making access to health and wellness easier, Mercy Health is hosting the second annual Health and Wellness Fair. This community-focused event is dedicated to promoting health, wellness and preventive care. It will be held Saturday, September 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at Mercy Health-Sylvania Family Medicine, 4126 North Holland-Sylvania Avenue, Toledo.
The day-long event is geared to provide health and wellness services and resources in a fun, familyfriendly environment. Haven’t had a chance to see a doctor recently? Come on over for the opportunity to receive a variety of free healthrelated tests. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with several community and healthcare organizations.
Health services available during the Health and Wellness Fair include:
•Free health screenings
•Free vision screenings
•Free blood pressure checks
•Free blood sugar checks
•Free lead testing
•Mercy Health Mobile Van on site
•Mercy Health Mobile Mammography Van on site The fair will include live entertainment, free food, giveaways and raffle drawings and fun activities for children.
A number of local partners make this event possible including: Mercy College of Ohio, Area Office on Aging of Northwestern Ohio, the YMCA, Bethany House, the Boys and Girls Club of Toledo, U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, Triple A, Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, Let’s Build, American Red Cross, Metroparks Toledo, Sylvania Community Services, Joan Marie, Toledo Grows, Toledo Lucas County Public Library, United Way, Imagination Station, Lucas County Sheriff’s Office Drug Abuse Response Team and Lucas County Department of Jobs and Family Services.
