Metroparks Toledo is seeking volunteers for its Garden Keeper program.
There will be an information meeting on Thursday, March 27, from 6 to 7 p.m., at Toledo Botanical Garden in the Crosby Conference Center.
Garden Keepers are volunteers who are assigned a landscaping bed at a Metropark of their choosing and are tasked with its care and maintenance throughout the course of the year. This meeting is for returning, as well as interested, volunteers. It is an opportunity to meet other Garden Keepers, park supervisors and horticulturist staff.

Volunteers At Work
The recent second annual Wintering the Oaks had more than 130 participants hiking six, 10 or 16 miles at Oak Openings Preserve. Thirty volunteers supported the occasion including serving s’mores, hiking with participants, providing directions and all activities in-between.
In February, Metroparks had 161 volunteers/groups who donated 835 hours at 37 events and programs.
