Roll into Fall at the Ribbon

Retro Ween, Friday, October 11, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Glass City Metropark, will start the Halloween season and end to the roller skating season. The event is free and reservations are not needed.

Skates, rollerblades and kick scooters will be available for rent. During the skate, Q105’s Eric Chase will run a classic “Spin the Pin” game where guests could win tickets to see P!nk in Detroit. Bring a mat and come at 6 p.m. for a beginner-friendly yoga session by Toledo Mindfulness Institute.

Haunted Bike Ride October 12

The Family Haunted Ride is set for Saturday, October 12. Patrons may arrive anytime between 10 a.m. and noon. Pedal through the fall trails of Secor Metropark and trick-or-treat along the way at candy stops. Maumee Valley Adventures is partnering with Metroparks Toledo to host this family-friendly, Halloween bike ride of 2.8 miles. There will be children’s activities, a costume contest and pictures of all participants. Register in advance. Cost is $3 per person.

Ghosts of Providence Returns October 18 Through 19

Spirits of a real ghost town, Providence, Ohio, come out every year to “haunt” the historic Isaac Ludwig Mill and canal boat.

At Ghosts of Providence, Friday and Saturday, October 18 and 19 at Providence Metropark, participants will explore the haunted history around the park by lantern light. Fee is $7 per person. Register for a timeslot.

Eerie Manor Hours Tours October 18-26

Explore the Wildwood Manor House, a 30,000square-foot mansion and see if you think it’s haunted.

Eerie Manor, a spooky spectacle in the Wildwood Manor House, is back for a third year October 18 through 26, from 2 to 8 p.m. daily. More than 30 spaces will be decorated for the occasion. Event is free and reservations are not needed.

Trick-or-Treehouse October 27

Wear a costume and come to the Oak Openings Beach Ridge Area for Halloween candy and fun at the treehouses, Sunday, October 27, from 4:45 to 8 p.m. Volunteers at the Cannaley Treehouse Village will distribute candy to trick-or-treaters. Event is free.

Plein Air Painting Contest The Toledo Artist Club is sponsoring a plein air competition and wet paint sale at Toledo Botanical Garden, Thursday through Sunday, October 10 to 13, with an expected 35 to 40 painters from around the midwest.
