The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash on Interstate 475 near U.S. Route 20A in the city of Maumee. The crash occurred November 29, at approximately 5:22 p.m.
The preliminary investigation shows a tan Lincoln MKS, operated by Jake Seibert, 19, of Holland, was driving southbound on I-475. Seibert struck two pedestrians who were walking on the left shoulder next to their disabled semi-truck. One pedestrian, Amandeep Admandeep, age 30, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, was pronounced deceased on scene. The other pedestrian, Capshan Khosa, age 29, of Brampton, Ontario, was pronounced deceased at a local hospital after being transported by ground ambulance.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office, Maumee Police Department, Lucas County Coroner’s Office, Monclova Township Fire and EMS, Maumee Fire Department, Piasecki’s Towing, and Ray’s Towing.
