A Springfield High School senior attending Penta Career Center was among eight career center students recognized for achievements on an advanced career assessment.
At the May 10 meeting, the Penta board of education acknowledged Mason Young for scoring at the proficient/advanced levels on the Southern Regional Education Board’s advanced career end-of-course assessment.
Mason is a student in the manufacturing academy /robotics and automation.
The assessment is comprised of selected-response test items in a career technical education, literacy, math and science that reflect the critical content standards of each course.
Also recognized were Oliver Aldridge, Anthony Wayne, automotive technology; Caleb Schuessler-Recker, Eastwood, construction electricity; Braden Jeffers, Genoa, construction electricity; Rose Lucas, Perrysburg, robotics and automation; Kevin Spencer, Bowling Green, information technologies academy; Drew Stockwell, Perrysburg, firefighter, and Reid Pearson, Maumee, sophomore manufacturing academy.
