Two free plant exchanges are being planned by area master gardeners.
The first is set for April 29, at the Wood County Fairgrounds, 13800 West Poe Road, Bowling Green. The second opportunity will be May 6, at the Lucas County Fairgrounds, 2901 Key Street, Maumee. Both will be held rain or shine. Visitors can drop off weed-free and labeled plants as well as gently- used gardening paraphernalia after 8:30 a.m. that will be organized into groups by master gardener volunteers. At 10 a.m., the swap/shop opens and the event wraps up before 11 a.m.
Each adult may select a few plants simply for coming; those who bring items can take more.
Master gardeners will be available at both events to answer questions. For more information about the Wood County event, call 419-3549050. Call 419-578-6783 for information about the Toledo exchange.
