Premier Bank pledges support for YMCA of Greater Toledo

Premier Bank has pledged $25,000 to the YMCA of Greater Toledo. The funds will be used towards the construction of the new Wayman D. Palmer YMCA facility.

“Since 2021, the current facility has served nearly 25,000 individuals through programs, services and activities such as evidence-based intervention programs, wellness center, Peloton fitness studio, group exercise programs including Silver Sneakers for older adults, a food program (meals, year-round and client choice food pantry), youth and adult sports, swim lessons and teen programming access to a community health worker through a partnership with Lucas County CareNet,” said Brad Toft, president and CEO, YMCA of Greater Toledo.

The new Wayman D. Palmer YMCA, located just a few hundred feet away from the current facility, will feature state-of-the-art amenities including an indoor pool, outdoor splash pad, modern fitness center, updated gymnasium, community gathering spaces, Toledo Public Schools Head Start Early Childhood education facilities and the T.A.C.K.L.E. Program. It’s going to be a tremendous resource for the neighborhood.

“We are proud to support the YMCA of Greater Toledo as they work to strengthen neighborhoods and communities in Greater Toledo and southeastern Michigan,” said Trish Gelsomino, foundation giving coordinator, Premier Bank. “Together we can spread kindness and make our community stronger.”
