For many residents, it seems that to drive anywhere in Lucas County requires one to do so in a “roundabout” fashion. And that trend will continue into the near future.
Mike Pniewski, county engineer, said that to date, there are 29 roundabouts in Lucas County.
“There will be four more opened this year at Monclova and Weckerly, Brint and Kilburn roads, State Route 295 and Waterville-Neapolis Road, and King and Angola roads,” he said.
Looking into the future, headded, “We have been funded for an additional 13 over the next five years.”
Those roundabouts will be at the following intersections: Kilburn and Sylvania, Brint and Centennial, Bancroft and Mc-Cord, Hill and Centennial, Garden and Albon, Holloway and Salisbury, Hill and McCord, Shoreland and Summit, Frankfort and Crissey, Monclova and Wilkins, Monclova and Albon, Monclova and Waterville-Monclova and Providence-Neapolis-Swanton and Archbold-Whitehouse.
