September 11, 2025: The Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Toledo Memorial Park and the City of Sylvania, invites the community to join in honoring the memory of those lost on September 11, 2001, and recognizing the bravery of the first responders. A memorial ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 11, at 9 a.m., at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe Street, Sylvania.
The ceremony will include special remarks from Chad Albert, president and CEO of Toledo Memorial Park; Mayor Mark Frye of the City of Sylvania, and Chief Chris Nye of the Sylvania Township Fire Department. These leaders will guide the community in reflecting on the events of that tragic day and paying tribute to the resilience and courage of our nation.
The Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce encourages all residents to come together for this meaningful event, as they honor the lives lost, the heroes who emerged and the enduring spirit of the community.
