Snowplace Like Metroparks returns to Glass City park

Snowplace Like Metroparks, featuring 120 “snow people” designed by local volunteers is open at Glass City Metropark, Front Street, east Toledo. Snowplace runs through January, and admission is free.

The drive-through display is open during regular park hours, 7 a.m. until dark. Visitors should use the Morrison Street entrance for the best view of the snow folk from their cars.

Scouts, schools, clubs, families, other groups and individuals designed the snowman-shaped cutouts.

The event was held for the first time last December shortly after Glass City opened, offering a safe outdoor activity when many events were canceled due to COVID-19.
