Springfield High School JROTC honors veterans through annual assembly

Springfield High School’s JROTC program held its annual Veterans Day assembly on November 3, bringing the entire student body together for a moment of reflection, unity and gratitude.

The ceremony opened with the Presentation of Colors led by SHS JROTC cadets, followed by the National Anthem performed by the Springfield choir. Students delivered prepared remarks highlighting the history and purpose of Veterans Day, emphasizing the importance of recognizing the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Throughout the assembly, cadets shared personal tributes and historical reflections, acknowledging both honored guests in attendance and veterans across the nation. A moment of silence invited the audience to pause and reflect on the sacrifices made by service members, past and present, and the freedoms we have because of them.

Springfield High School extends sincere appreciation to all veterans for their courage, commitment and sacrifice.
