Homecoming Week 2022 was kicked-off in true Blue Devils fashion–finally. After too long a pause, we would like to give a shout out to our four class advisors who helped return powder puff football to Springfield Community Stadium.
Congratulations to junior and senior class advisors Katie Crago, Ryan Machoukas, Gina Ciminillo and Nikki Medjesky, for motivating what was perhaps the most well-attended powder puff game we’ve witnessed in about 15 years. For those wondering, the junior class got the W, but thanks to donations that came in with the online ticket purchases (especially those from staff– thank you) the total dollar amount raised for Prom 2023 was a little more than $2,900.
More importantly, the students involved had fun, and it’s events like this that make high school special for our kids. Thanks also to Kyle Linehan, for providing the comic relief throughout the night, and to our staff and parent volunteers, who helped with 50/50, concessions, refereeing and chain crew. Great work everyone.
