Springfield Local Schools held its board of education study session on November 19, at 4:15 p.m., at the district central office. The meeting highlighted building updates, instructional priorities and staff recognitions from across the district.
The board received a presentation from Andy Evans, principal of Holland Intermediate School, who shared an update on current initiatives at HI, including academic progress, school climate work and expanded programming for students in grades 4 through 6. Evans emphasized ongoing efforts to strengthen student support and build consistently positive learning environments.
A district commendation also was presented to Springfield High School Athletic Director Andrew Screptock. Screptock was recognized for his exceptional performance, steady guidance and the invaluable support he provides to both the athletic department and the administrative team.
“Andrew continues to demonstrate an unwavering commitment to our studentathletes, coaches and programs,” district leadership noted during the commendation. “His professionalism, organization and leadership help ensure that our athletic programs operate at a high level.”
The study session also covered routine board business, financial updates and operational planning as the district moves toward the winter season.
