The board of trustees at St. Benedict Catholic School appointed Kristen Johnson as the next school principal.
“Mrs. Johnson shares the mission of our school and emphasizes all the qualities the board feels are needed for principal- minister at St. Benedict,” said Fr. Jason Kahle, Pastor of Little Flower Parish and St. Benedict School superintendent.
A graduate of Wittenburg and Heidelberg universities, Johnson comes to St. Benedict after many years of teaching in Catholic schools and two years in administration as assistant principal at St. Patrick’s of Heatherdowns.
“I am proud to be at St. Benedict, and I am excited to continue building this wonderful community,” she said.
“Mrs. Johnson’s commitment to Catholic values combined with her leadership and experience will serve our school community well, and I look forward to the accomplishments she will achieve at St. Benedict,” said Joseph Lubomirski, president of the school board of directors.
The board expressed appreciation to the faculty and staff for their assistance with the leadership transition, and to parents and students for their support.
