In conjunction with biggest birding week
Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge (ONWR) will host local artists and craftsmen during the Wildlife Stop and Shop at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge, Saturday and Sunday, May 13 and 14. It will be on the Visitor Center grounds, 14000 West State Route 2, Oak Harbor, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
The event will be held during the Biggest Week in American Birding on World Migratory Bird Day weekend.
Just in time for Mother’s Day, vendors will sell unique nature-themed products and crafts, artwork and upcycled/recycled items following the theme of birds and wildlife.
The Friends Rookery Nature Store will be open as well. Sales in the Rookery Nature Store directly support the conservation mission of ONWR. In conjunction with Bench Farms and the Greening UToledo Through Service Learning (GUTS) program, the Friends will host a pollinator plant sale May 5 through 14.
Food vendors will on the Visitor Center grounds May 5-14.
