TARTA to provide transportation for

Toledo fireworks event

The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority will provide special transportation service to the Fireworks in the 419 event in downtown Toledo, Saturday, July 1. Customers can park at Franklin Park Mall and catch a direct ride to downtown for $3 round trip.

Trips will leave the mall every 30 minutes, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., and rides back from the corner of Jackson Street and North St. Clair Street will occur every 20 minutes after the conclusion of the fireworks display.

There will be food trucks lined up on Summit Street, as well as a viewing party with live music at Glass City Metropark. Other events that day include an evening of boxing at the Huntington Center, featuring undefeated heavyweight and Toledo native Jared Anderson, along with the Adams Street Block Party.

In addition to the special transportation, regular fixed route service will be available to the area. TARPS paratransit service riders will also be able to secure trips, and can be scheduled for as late as 11:20 p.m. Call 419-382-9901 to schedule a TARPS pick-up.
